Space Coast Jr./Sr.High School is located in Brevard County, Florida, in the community of Port St. John, Florida, USA. It is part of the Brevard County School District. The school name comes from its location, on the Space Coast. The school graduated its first class in 2006.It is a relatively small school, but has a good education rating. The school offers JROTC, a specialized program for students interested in teaching, and a program for students who are interested in engineering and drafting. There is a collegiate program which a student is dual enrolled into college classes at Brevard Community College as well as the normal high school courses; these students graduate with their associate degree degree as well as a high school diploma.
The school's former mascot, the Manatee, was derived from a water mammal common in the nearby Indian River. The school decided to change their mascot to the viper snake, represented in royal purple and silver. The school started out as a middle school, then became a junior/senior high school.
